M o m e n t

Wrote this a few days ago but never posted it.
Am busy at the moment playing with my graphic tablet :D

Previous nights we have watched alot of movies, among them The Pianist. I love that movie so much.
It's about the jewish pianist Wladyslaw Szpilman in Warsaw during WWII. It has really everything: incredible cruelty, Adrien Brody, quiet moments of sorrow, piano music, destruction on a large scale and more Adrien Brody.

But tonight we're going out and I'm happy about that, we haven't been to the Irish Pub in ages. I think Nikki, the hungerian bartender is back from her vacation now. She's a really nice girl, we always talk to her. And several of the guys are now back from their vacation as well. Jay said he even got me something from Turkey. He said it was even more awesome than a bright green t-shirt with a fake Dolce and Gabbana logo, so I'm curious.

While playing all kinds of weird games I have been listening to the same man that me and Diederik listened to the first time we cooked together. It was one of the few cd's I brought with me on my first journey to meet Diederik, and it was filled half of chiptunes, and half of this brilliant man, Tom Lehrer. It was my "brother" Oswald who introduced his music to me and I'll be forever grateful.
Tom was born 1928 and in the 50s he made comic songs to entertain his friends. He sang about everything from political issues (and all of them still accurate and relevant) to poisoning pigeons. He was mainly a mathematician (teaching at among other schools, Harvard and MIT) but after popular demand he recorded his first cd. He's still alive but not active.

Now isn't he handsome?
Tom Lehrer, probably in 1953

His best songs in my opinion:
Pollution
National Brotherhood Week
New Math
